About Us

  Twenty years ago, I asked my best friend, then a working musician, if there was anything she needed as a performer that she couldn’t get. Her answer – “I need a cover for my guitar, to protect it at home and on-stage during breaks.” After many prototypes, input from friends who are more analytical than I am, and a few shopping sprees, AxRags was born. I made a few covers for her that she still uses, then shelved my business idea to start graduate school.

     Twenty years later, guitar covers that are unique, cool, and personal are STILL unavailable.  The covers that are available look like little silver ghosts, glorified trash bags.  I decided to dust off our idea and resurrected AxRags. It is now our mission to create expressive covers that allow you to share who YOU are with the world. 

     We spend hours every week shopping for fabric that will speak to you as an artist, fabric that makes a statement for you, about you.  We only purchase the highest quality fabric, from the most reputable manufacturers. The majority of our fabric is vintage, 1980s and later, from the Alexander Henry Design Group.  We are often only able to obtain enough material for one or two covers. This increases their uniqueness and desirability! Why don’t you already have one?!
